Committees

Committees are working groups composed of volunteers from member organizations willing to contribute their time, knowledge and expertise to the programs and efforts of WCTA. There are currently two standing committees, described below. If you are a member interested in joining a committee, please contact the committee chair. If you are interested in starting a new committee, please contact Graham Evans, grahamev@wacleantech.org.

Program Committee:

Chair: David Walsh, DavidW@Mithun.com

The Program Committee acts as the organizing body for WCTA programs and events, including scheduling of speakers and event locations. WCTA currently holds two types of events: bi-monthly Executive Roundtable breakfast events exclusively for executive-level leaders of Charter, Platinum and Gold member organizations, and current boardmembers; and bi-monthly Lunch Seminars that feature a guest speaker from the clean tech sector. These lunch events are open to members and non-members. WCTA also holds special events a couple of times a year for members and invited guests in the clean tech community. Please see the Events page for a list of upcoming events.

Policy Committee

Chair: Marc Cummings, marc.cummings@pnl.gov

The Policy Committee coordinates WCTA’s discussion of current policy priorities for clean technology businesses in Washington. The committee is in the process of developing an action plan for advocacy in the state legislature for the adoption of legislation to advance key priorities.
